The IBU Ingenieurbüro für Bauplanung und Umweltschutz was founded on 15th June 1990 by the owner, Dipl.-Ing. (TU) Karl-Heinz Bartl. The main activities of the office are municipal underground engineering and rural development.

The company has been active in the areas of planning and site supervision on behalf of town administrations and communities, municipal special-purpose associations, local authorities and the Thuringian Rural Development Association since mid 1990. Furthermore, the office supports its clients with advice based on specialist knowledge and extensive experience, from applying for subsidies to costing the projects.

The complete range of engineering services is offered, from support with applying for subsidies through advice, blueprint and implementation planning, planning of tender documents through to site management, as well as construction calculation and project management.

Today, the office consists of a team of five staff; this permits us to process even complex projects. In addition, we constantly provide a training place for an architectural draughtsman.

In addition, we offer the opportunity for students and university graduates to complete work placements.
Modern computer and communication technology and the newest CAD software guarantee high planning quality, flexibility in processing and the inclusion of inter-disciplinary specialist planners in work and planning teams.
